Sharon C Packiamuthu's Story
Dr. Sharon C. Packiamuthu, born and raised in Chennai, India, has always been drawn to the world of civil engineering. From a young age, she was fascinated by how structures took shape and stood the test of time. Alongside her academic curiosity, she was also a passionate athlete, excelling in basketball and enjoying a variety of sports that instilled in her a spirit of discipline and teamwork.
Her journey in civil engineering began at Sathyabama University in Chennai, where she completed her degree in 2012. Eager to expand her knowledge, she took a bold step at the age of 21 and moved to the UK to further her education at Northumbria University. There, she earned a Master’s in Construction Project Management in 2014, followed by a Master of Research in Building Information Modelling (BIM) in 2015. However, her curiosity and drive didn’t stop there—determined to deepen her expertise, she pursued a PhD in BIM. Currently, she is furthering her academic journey with a second PhD from the Swiss School of Business Management in Switzerland.
Coming from a strong family background, Sharon credits much of her success to the unwavering support of her father, a retired Superintendent of Police, and her mother, a dedicated homemaker. Without her father’s encouragement, she acknowledges that her path would have been much more challenging.
With a desire to create opportunities in India’s construction industry, Sharon established her first office in India in 2017. Her vision was clear—to empower young professionals and provide them with meaningful career opportunities. She ensured that all backend operations for her projects were based in India, reinforcing her commitment to nurturing young talent. As her business grew, she expanded internationally, opening an office in the Maldives and in the United Kingdom in 2021.
Today, Dr. Sharon C. Packiamuthu continues to lead with passion and innovation, bridging the gap between knowledge and practical application while building a legacy that empowers individuals and transforms the construction industry.
